High Access Cabling successfully completed an upgrade of the sports lighting at Kimberley Reserve, Chirnside Park, for Yarra Ranges Council.

The brief involved replacing the existing lighting for both the North and South Ovals to meet Club Competition and Match Practice standards. This involved the installation of eight new 25m light poles with 32 new 1270W Sylvania Brightline Raptor (Gen 2) LED fixtures. At project completion, we achieved average illuminance levels of 140 lux and 134 lux for the North and South Ovals respectively, a much higher result than the expected 100 lux.

As part of the project, High Access was able to offer cost savings to Council by identifying existing conduit that could be reused and re-routing the new cabling. Council were then able to implement a new dimming system that High Access Cabling designed and installed, as well as being able to provide additional power supplies to the scoreboards on each oval, all below the original tender price and budget.
