Public Lighting
After reports of low lighting levels and concerns over public safety, the City of Melbourne commissioned High Access Cabling to install a new catenary mounted lighting system in Westwood Place, located between Little Collins Street and Bourke Street in the CBD.
Through working closely with Council’s engineers, GHD, and with each of the tenants in the laneway, we were able to safely install the wall brackets and stainless-steel cabling with minimal disruption to users of the space.
The project also used custom-built catenary luminaires, designed by High Access Group’s lighting team, which use high efficiency LED lamps.
The end result was a stylish, modern lighting installation that has increased light levels and created a welcoming and safe space for those travelling between the busy Melbourne streets.
